ELF Mineral Eye Brightener

Eyes Lips Face aka ELF Cosmetics released a new item in their mineral line, the ELF Mineral Eye Brightener is a light weight, light attracting powder.  I was intrigued by this product - if it could in fact brighten the eye area for only $3.00, then I might just make this a permanent item in my collection.  I personally don't use eye brightening techniques because my face is pretty flat and I feel like I get plenty of light around my eyes.

Product description:
Perk up those tired eyes and diminish the appearance of dark shadows with the Eye Brightener. Infused with Chamomile, Green Tea, Mulberry and Vitamins C & E to nourish, tighten and refresh! Great for using as an eyeshadow base or around the nose, lips and anywhere you want to brighten and revitalize.
Directions:
Using a small brush sweep over the powder and apply a small amount of the powder to the inner and outer corner of the eye to brighten and create an awakened look.

I have worn this eye brightener on top of a full face of makeup and on a bare face.  I really adore this eye brightener!  The powder is very light weight, and after blending it into the skin it looks like it just disappears, but once you begin moving your face in the light, you can definitely see the brightening effect.  Even on a bare face, this eye brightener looks very natural, it doesn't leave behind a powdery effect - it seems to just sink in and get to work.  It's pretty amazing, without shimmer or being too chalky, this eye brightener really does it's job.

I can honestly say that this product has turned me from a person who never touched an eye brightener to a person who uses it almost daily for a young and healthy glow.  I recommend this product to people looking to add a little glow to their complexion, mostly I love that you can wear it without any other makeup and it still looks natural - so all you anti-makeup people can enjoy this product as well!

ELF Essentials Nourishing Cuticle Pen

The ELF Essentials Nourishing Cuticle Pen is only $1.00, so I figured if this could do a good job at keeping my nails looking their best - then I'm going to stock up!  And, guess what?  This cuticle pen is pretty great!  It's not like most cuticle pens that have a brush tip, this tip is more like a marker tip which is soaked with the nourishing formula:
Fortified with Vitamins E, A, C, Pro-Vitamin B5 and Aloe, this fast-acting complex deeply hydrates, nourishes and seals in moisture. The key ingredients Avocado and Almond Oils help to condition nails and cuticles for improved appearance.

I personally prefer this tip because it doesn't apply too much liquid, making my fingers messy and getting on my clothes.  You just run the pen along the the cuticles and nail edges, and then any super dry or damaged sections just hold the tip there for a few seconds to saturate that area.  I love that the liquid is not runny or greasy - it soaks into the skin pretty quick and leaves your fingers looking freshly manicured!
It doesn't say online or on the tube how much product you get - but for a dollar, it can't be too much.  I still think it's worth the buck!
This product is amazing and I extremely recommend it to everybody!!

ELF Studio Tinted Moisturizer SPF 20

After using and loving the ELF Essentials Tinted Moisturizer SPF 15, I decided to try out the ELF Studio Tinted Moisturizer SPF 20 hoping this might be the same great quality or better than the Essentials tinted moisturizers.  These moisturizers are $3.00 per .7oz tube and comes in 7 shades; Porcelain, Nude, Beige, Sand, Almond, Mocha, Espresso.  This moisturizer provides a very sheer tint to the skin, but can be built up to a medium coverage if needed.  The consistency of these moisturizers is thinner than the Essentials tinted moisturizers, similar to a face lotion.  The scent is very fresh, having key ingredients of aloe, cucumber and vitamins A, C & E.

I personally have been using a couple of these moisturizers on/off since I got them, and I really like the coverage and hydration that it provides.  It's very smooth and easy to blend into the skin.  Most impressively, the sun protection it provides really does keep you from burning throughout the day.  I have pretty sensitive skin, and I have not shown any irritation to this moisturizer.  I recommend this to tinted moisturizer lovers, it's great for non-makeup days, keeps you moisturized, is buildable for a medium coverage, and protects your skin from the sun throughout the day.

ELF Essentials Tinted Moisturizer SPF 15

A few months ago I bought all shades of the ELF Essentials Tinted Moisturizer SPF 15 for my kit, at $1.00 per .42oz tube, I thought this would be perfect to use on clients and inexpensive to repurchase when needed.  This tinted moisturizer comes in 7 shades; Ivory, Light Beige, Rosy Beige, Apricot Beige, Honey, Spice, Toffee.  This moisturizer provides a sheer coverage, but can be built up to a medium coverage if needed.  The consistency of these moisturizers is quite thick - comparable to a liquid concealer almost.  I find that mixing it with a face primer makes it easier to apply and blend into the skin, and reduces the amount you need per application.

I personally have been using one of these moisturizers on/off since I got it, and I really like the consistency - especially on my no-makeup days.  It's very creamy and leaves a smooth surface on the skin.  This is a great tinted moisturizer for only a dollar!  I have pretty sensitive skin, and I have not shown any irritation to this moisturizer, plus it does keep my skin moisturized throughout the day.  I recommend this to tinted moisturizer lovers, it's great for non-makeup days, keeps you moisturized and is buildable for a medium coverage.
