Anthony Logistics For Men - Glycolic Facial Cleanser

[pr sample]

My Boyfriend, Michael, has a review to share on the Anthony Logistics' Glycolic Facial Cleanser:
What is your facial skin type? I have normal skin, my nose produces the most oils and my forehead will get a little oily by the end of the day.
How long have you been using this product? About 2 months.
How would you explain the texture? It's like a watered down lotion. It spreads really easily, feels smooth and slightly lathers up.
Does this cleanser have a scent? Not really, it just smells clean to me.
Do you use this cleanser with your Clarisonic? Yes, I started to use it with my Clarisonic Mia about a month ago.
How do you feel about the cleansers performance without the Clarisonic? I prefer to use it without the Clarisonic Mia. It lathers up really good and it makes my skin feel cleaner afterwards.
How do you feel about the cleansers performance with the Clarisonic? It's alright, it doesn't lather up a lot so I feel like it doesn't penetrate as much as when I use it with the Clarisonic Mia.
How often do you use the cleanser? Every day, sometimes I skip a day on the weekends.
Has this cleanser improved your skin? It has cleared the random red dots on my forehead and the occasional breakouts I used to get. It keeps my nose and forehead from getting oily.
Is this a product you would repurchase? Yes.
Do you think this cleanser is worth the price point? Yes.
Would you recommend this product to your friends/family/subscribers? Yes. Glycolic Facial Cleanser
Objective: Make your face squeak with cleanliness.
Strategy: With Aloe Vera for soothing, Glycolic Acid to ease away fine lines, Vitamins A, C and E to nourish.
Method of Use: Wet hands, face and neck. Squeeze facial cleanser into palm and work into lather. Massage gently over face and neck.Rinse thoroughly with warm water.
Why it Works?: The Glycolic Facial Cleanser thoroughly cleanses face and buffs away surface skin cells, leaving skin smooth and ready for shaving. It also helps prevent ingrown hairs and razor burn.

Barielle Ultra Speed Dry Manicure Extender

I am officially hooked on the Barielle Ultra Speed Dry Manicure Extender polish. This is actually the first quick dry polish I have ever used and owned, for some reason I never believed the claims of fast drying top coats before. Now that I have been using the Barielle Speed Dry top coat, I cannot believe I used to wait 5-10 mins for my manicures to dry, or sometimes be so impatient and then wind up nicking them all over and ruining my manicure. Using this speed dry polish on its own, my nails are completely dry in about 3 minutes, no matter how many coats of polish or crazy designs I have going on underneath. As a mother of two children in diapers, I'm able to move on to my mommy duties in a matter of minutes and not have to worry about ruining my nails - it's the ultimate test!
I also love how shiny it leaves my manicures, it's a relatively thin formula so if you have a textured manicure it won't smooth it out - just a heads up :) Ultra Speed Dry Manicure Extender / .50 oz / 14.8g / $16.00
Quick drying top coat with UV protection
Keeps dark colors from fading and light colors from yellowing
Apply as needed after manicures
Remove at the end of the week with acetone-free nail polish remover
Use with desired base coat

This award winning, high gloss, quick drying formula provides a hard, chip resistant top coat. This formula was also developed to help protect the nail and color from UV radiation to help keep dark colors from fading and light colors from yellowing.

Use: Use as the last step in your manicure treatments, after allowing your manicure to dry completely. Clean and remove after 5-7 days and repeat process.

Dibutyl-Phthalate Free, TolueneFree and Formaldehyde Free

Youngblood Lipgloss - Champagne Ice

[pr sample]

I'll be honest, when I first received the Youngblood Lipgloss in Champagne Ice I was not exactly excited to try it out. It looks frosted and not a shade I would personally choose. It sat for a month and when I had my makeup all packed up during my move in the beginning of the year I had this one unpacked and in my purse so I would start using it. Well, I feel pretty silly for letting it sit for so long, my assumptions were so incorrect. This gloss is so nice!

The packaging is slim, in a clear tube and has a doe foot applicator - I prefer these applicators because I just like how soft they feel on my lips. The gloss has a medium-like consistency, it's not heavy and sticky at all, or thin and slippery. It has a smoothing feel and it doesn't migrate while talking, drinking and eating. I have the shade Champagne Ice which is described as "iridescent salmon-pink", which looks nude and frosty in the tube, but it applies shimmery and sheer on me.

I love this gloss, a lot! Any gloss that can last for hours, hydrate the lips and doesn't have the typical sticky/tacky feel is A+ for me. This is a pricey gloss, at $23 it is definitely a splurge item, but the quality you get pays for itself. I currently have Promiscuous (bright rose) and Guava (juicy pink-red) on my wishlist. Lipgloss / .16oz / $23.00
Add long-wearing color and shine to lips, while keeping them soft and supple. Plumping* shades provide noticeable results without tingling or irritation. Contains natural oils and vitamins to condition and care for lips. Non-sticky.

Youngblood Lip Liner Pencil - Pout

[pr sample]

I've secretly been searching for a lip pencil to match my natural lip color, mainly to wear underneath any lipstick or gloss to ensure my lip color lasts longer. Hunting for a lip liner isn't something I talk about with people, especially over the internet, because people will always suggest products and then I'll go buy them to try out and they end up being too light or too brown. So, it's been a secret for years - and now I'm ready to share the good news! The Youngblood Lip Liner Pencil in the shade Pout is the PERFECT shade for my lips!

This lip liner is described as "reflective golden pink", which I would never think twice about getting - well, I have been so wrong. This shade matches my true lip color so much that I currently have a couple of these in my online cart waiting to be purchased. Unlike the drugstore lip liners I used to buy and then giveaway or toss out over the years, the Youngblood lip liners are so soft and creamy and they do not dry out my lips! Can you believe it?! I know! I'm still in shock too! I have even worn this lip liner on its own with some clear gloss when I just go out to run errands. I love that it doesn't dry my lips or create those flaky bits that everyone hates. $14 seems like a lot for a lip liner, but one that doesn't dry you out and lasts all day is worth every penny in my eyes. Lip Liner Pencil / .04oz / $14.00
These creamy pencils shape, line and fill in lips, helping prevent lip colors from feathering. The non-drying formula keeping lips feeling comfortably hydrated.
Application: Lightly outline lips. Use the Luxurious Retractable Lip Brush to blend. Can be used alone, under Lipstick or with Lipgloss.

Barielle Nail Rebuilding Protein

[pr sample]

I've been using the Barielle Nail Rebuilding Protein for a couple months now. As a base coat it is fantastic! It prevents staining from those real intense polishes, it helps extend my manicures to last at least a week before chipping/fading, and most importantly it keeps my nails protected from those accidental impacts we all do. Throughout all my house chores and playing with the kids, my nails have not shown any peeling since using the Barielle Nail Rebuilding Protein Base Coat. That's a huge statement because it seems like my nails are really easy to peel, might be from me always squaring them off (it just looks so nice!).

Until recently, I've had my nails very long - almost too long, and I think this base coat had a lot to do with keeping my nails strong enough to grow so long and maintain that length for weeks (until I had a couple accidents and finally chopped them all down short). I also wanted to add that when I'm not wearing nail polishes, I will still wear a layer of this bast coat on its own because it's super shiny! Normally I change my polish color every other day or so, so my nails get a fresh application of the Nail Rebuilding Protein base coat quite often. Nail Rebuilding Protein / .50 fl oz / 14.8 ml / $17.50
Base Coat - For Soft, Thin, Peeling Nails

Helps bond & strengthen weak nail layers

Remove at the end of the week with acetone-free nail polish remover

Youngblood Pressed Mineral Eyeshadow Quad - Starlet

[pr sample]

I've been playing with the Youngblood Pressed Mineral Eyeshadow Quad in Starlet since late last winter. I wanted to take my time in reviewing it because if you're like me, a bit tight with the money, I want to be sure that all four shades can be used on their own, all together and that they are grade A quality. I'm so pleased to say that the Youngblood Pressed Mineral Eyeshadows are amazing! They are rich in pigmentation, buttery in texture, extremely easy to blend out and into each other, they don't crease on my moderately oily lids (tested with/without a primer), and because of how little product you need to use - you get a lot of product for your money. I can't even begin to tally how many times I have used this palette, and it still looks brand new, barely any dips in the eyeshadow pans so far.

I love the quality of the palette, it is black and sleek - a classic look, and the closure is magnetic. The strong magnetic closure is not too strong where you're struggling to open it and not too light where it'll open on its own in your cosmetic bag. There's a full size mirror inside, normally I don't use these, but the large size is actually really handy for when I'm doing my lower lash line makeup application. The back shows the eyeshadow names, this takes some getting used to, for some odd reason I always get the eyeshadow names mixed up.

As I mentioned earlier, the eyeshadow quality is fantastic! I love mineral eyeshadows, and having them pressed but still hold that amazing pigmentation is simply a luxury I enjoy. The quad is described as "icy accents and dramatic darks".
Moonstone: a frosty white (very similar to MAC Crystal Avalanche)
Storm: a matte charcoal with a slight brown hue
Black Opal: a rich satiny pitch black
Platinum: a shimmery cool toned silver Pressed Mineral Eyeshadow Quad / .14oz / $43.00
Use your eye-magination! Four complementary shades come in a sleek, mirrored compact for limitless looks. The formula sweeps on like silk and wears for hours. Each compact includes matte, pearl and shimmery finishes that blend together easily.
Application: With the Eyeshadow Brush, apply to lids. Use dry for a soft look, or wet for a dramatic effect

Lorac Lips With Benefits

[pr sample]
Lorac Cosmetics has a NEW lip gloss out, Lips With Benefits. They are purely pigmented, liquid lipsticks with really high shine, a smooth and hydrating formula, and they are paraben free!. I'm head over heels for these, and yes, I have added all the men to my wishlist (you'll see what I mean soon), even though I'm not a nude-lip-fan, I still want them all! They might seem pricey, but in a full day of wear you only need to reapply maybe 2 or 3 times at the most! I love it! OH! And they smell so delicious, I might even love the scent more than MAC lip products (WOW!). Lips With Benefits / $18.00 / .19 oz
Create a stir wtih LORAC's Lips With Benefits Gloss! This unique, hydrating formula is Paraben-Free and infused with antioxidants of Acai Berry, Pomegranate Extract and Vitamins C & E to help nourish and protect your kissable pout. These luscious glosses feature a menage-a-trois of swirling striped hues for a one-of-a-kind, high-shine finish with flirty, sexy color and a sweet Creme Brulee fragrance that will have you wanting more. No strings attached, no sticky entanglements, just a satisfying, silky-smooth application every time. Don't be bashful, Lips With Benefits comes in many complementing shades to please you so you won't have to feel guilty about choosing more than one color to love!
7 shades: Alex (berry), Ben (light peach shimmer), Chris (fuchsia shimmer), Chuck (nude), Josh (fresh pink), Mark (neutral peach), Nick (light pink shimmer)

Let's start with Alex, he's my FAVORITE! He's a pretty berry shade with silvery shimmers, you can sheer it to a tint, or pile it on for a bold glossy lip. I cannot say how much I love Alex! The packaging fools you into thinking it'll be a plain Jane pink, then you apply it and you instantly have a luscious punch of color and shine.

Now, Mark intimidated me a little. I'm not one for nude shades at all, I always steer away from them because they always dull my complexion and make me look odd (I think anyways.) But, I gave Mark a chance, and guess what?? I actually really like this shade! It's a peach that doesn't lean pink or orange - just plain old peach. Apparently that's the secret to nudes for me - stick to neutral nudes. Mark has really light shimmer, barely there, in the sunlight you can see it more. Mark is lighter than my natural lip color, but it still adds color to my lips instead of blending in with my skin tone.

Lastly is Nick, who is a pretty light pink shade with some fantastic shimmer! This actually reminds me of my Nivea Kiss Of Shimmer balm, just more pigmented, opaque and shinier - but the same type of shade/shimmer ratio. This is more of an every day lip color for me, I've got it in my purse so no matter what makeup or clothes I'm wearing, it always looks good - fresh and pretty!

The Art Of Shaving: The Perfect Shave (sample trio)

A few months ago I made a Sephora purchase online and one of the samples I chose was for my Boyfriend, Michael, The Art Of Shaving, The Perfect Shave sample trio in Unscented For Sensitive Skin. He finally got around to trying it out this weekend so here's his little review on the samples.

The Art Of Shaving: The 4 Elements of The Perfect Shave Each step is formulated to give your face exactly what it needs.

1 Prepare: Pre-Shave Oil unscented / (sample: .1oz) 2 oz / $22.00
Product Description: Pre-Shave Oil is the first step in The Art of Shaving. It softens the beard and prepares the skin for a close and comfortable shave without leaving an oily residue. It is formulated with a unique blend of botanical ingredients and essential oils.
How to Use: Before shaving, rub a small amount of oil on your hands and massage into the beard. Lather up Shaving cream or soap on top of the oil and shave.

Michael's Thoughts: I liked this pre-shave oil, it was thick and created a barrier between my skin and the blades. Although it is unscented, it smells kind of like honey comb. I've never used a product before applying shaving cream before. I would like to buy the full size, it makes shaving more comfortable. There's no tugging, no pull - it helps shaving go smoothly and glide along my skin.

2 Lather Up!: Shaving Cream unscented / (sample: .2oz ) / 5oz / $22.00
Product Description: The Art of Shaving Shaving Cream softens and lifts the beard for a close and comfortable shave, and protects the skin from irritation and razor burn. Rich with glycerin, coconut oil and essential oils, the shaving cream leaves your skin smooth and moisturized. It can be lathered up with a shaving brush or with fingers.
How to Use: Always shave during or after a hot shower. Using hot water, lather up a small amount of Shaving Cream with a brush or your fingers and shave with the grain. For a closer shave, re-lather and shave lightly across or against the grain. Rinse with cold water and apply After-shave Balm.

Michael's Thoughts: I liked this shaving cream, it had the consistency of a lotion, it comes out looking like a hand soap but lathers up into a cream. It spreads nicely over the Pre-Shave Oil. I prefer this shaving cream over the store bought, canned shaving cream. Those just don't compare. It kept my skin feeling moisturized all day.

3 Shave
I'm currently using the Schick Hydro 5 razor. I think this process would work better with a straight razor or a razor with less than 5 blades. With the oil and the shaving cream, it takes a while to rinse in between all the blades. I shave in the shower, but if I did it at the sink, rinsing the razor in the sink basin would be best.

4 Moisturize: After-Shave Balm unscented / (sample: .1oz) / 3.4oz / $38.00
Product Description: The Art of Shaving After-Shave Balm refreshes and hydrates to soothe the skin after shaving. Formulated with shea butter and a touch of grapeseed extract, it moisturizes and revitalizes to promote healthy looking skin. Antiseptic and alcohol-free.
How to Use: Apply to face and neck after shaving.

Michael's Thoughts: It's alright, it spread nicely, it moisturized my face, but it has a tingling sensation that lasted a couple minutes. At $38 for only 3.4 oz of product, I would buy the full size. I think you can get something similar from the drugstore or department store, at a more affordable price, get more product and have the same results.

EMK Placental Botanical Skincare Wrinkle Relaxing Toner

[pr sample]

I may or may not be in a toner phase this year (leaning more towards the "may"). How does one go from saying "isn't toner just water? Do you really need something like that?!" to saying "you should get a toner! It balances your skin and makes it feel so good!". I have easily become a bit of a toner-addict. Enter the EMK Placental Botanical Skincare Wrinkle Relaxing Toner. This might sound weird to someone who isn't into toners, but the EMK toner makes me feel happy. Ok, let me talk about the product before I get too carried away rambling about my love affair with it!

The packaging is amazing, I absolutely love it and it looks so good on my bathroom counter. I adore the white bottle and gold band, I think it looks luxe. The top screws off and the spout has one of those plastic "fluid-controller-thingys" (I'm sorry, I don't know it's official name - it prevents the fluid from over-pouring). I wish it had a spray top like my Skinceuticals one has, because I often have a problem with applying too much toner to my cotton round. I end up using it all anyways, I just smooth it over my neck and decolletage.

The toner consistency is thin like water, but a bit heavier than water. It feels soft, it smooths over the skin so easily and you can even feel it hydrating your skin as you're applying it. The toner smells AMAZING! It smells clean, fresh, lightly floral, delicate and feminine. This toner is a gentle formula, my skin is sensitive, especially after exfoliating, but the toner has never felt tingly or burning. The EMK toner always makes my skin feel refreshed, clean and hydrated. It firms my skin, but not in a dried-out-tightness kind of way, it just feels young and perfect. I LOVE the effect it has on my skin! It says it minimizes pores, but I haven't really noticed that effect - I think my pores are naturally larger-looking. Another wonderful benefit to the toner, on hot and sweaty days (80+ degree weather) I like to use this toner prior to applying my makeup instead of using a primer. Amazingly, it helps my makeup adhere evenly and it prevents my skin from oiling up and ruining my makeup!

The product description uses the word "plump", in all honesty, that's the perfect word to describe its effect. It's smooth, hydrating and it plumps up the skin to look perfect. "Perfect" is another word that I use to describe how it makes my skin feel. Using the EMK toner, along with my Skinceuticals skin care routine, has made my skin the happiest it has ever felt in yearrrs! I'm so pleased with this toner, and I wholeheartedly recommend it to everyone - I'd be surprised if someone didn't like this toner! Wrinkle Relaxing Toner / 6.6 fl oz / $44.00
