Mrs. P's Mood Potion - Gold Digger

Recently Mrs. P's Nail Potions created three gorgeous mood potions, designed to change color when cold and warm (it makes dishwashing so much more fun!):
Gold Digger "a military greenish, golden black to a bright yellow gold"
Caribbean Cove "a creamy aqua/robin's egg blue to a creamy pistachio kind of green"
Little Bruiser "a vampy deep reddish purple to a bright shimmery orangey red"

*Currently these are nearing out of stock, but I highly suggest you favorite the shop on Etsy (http://www.etsy.com/shop/MrsPsNailPotions) so you won't miss the restock!

I have Gold Digger here to share with you. Stored in my polish collection the bottle shows the cold color, a dark green gold, but once applied it shows the warm color, a shimmery yellow gold. The color changes very easily and it's so much fun to wear! Every time I'm doing the dishes or playing with the kids outside, we all marvel at the gradient it creates, I just wish my nails were longer to sport a thermal gradient all the time! :)
There's a new "thank you coupon" through Etsy where everyone who makes a purchase will automatically receive an email with a coupon code for 15% off their next purchase!

Mrs. P's Nail Potions is now on Youtube, and there's a video showing Caribbean Cove in action!

Essence Kiss Care Love Lipbalm - Fruit Crush

I was so excited to finally get my hands on this Essence Kiss Care Love lipbalm, a new addition to the line for Spring 2013. It's about $1.99 and available in 4 colors, Fruit Crush 01, Purple Berries 02, Fruitylicious 03, Caribbean Sunrise 04. I only bought Fruit Crush to try out before indulging in the rest of the selection. WELL :( Mine is broken! Can you see the sadness in my text? haha. So, my lip balm is not twisting up, I'm going to have to depot it and turn it into a touch-it-with-your-finger type of balm. (bummed out)

Press Release: Kiss and care in the city! The gentle texture of this NEW lip balm is moisturizing and pampering thanks to its premium castor oil ingredients. The highlight: a refreshing fruity taste and natural look with their subtle colordispersion. Available in four beautiful, trendy colors.

VERDICT: It is smooth, hydrating, lasts for a long time and the sheen is so fresh looking, very young and beautiful! Oh, and it smells like Bubblicious gum! The balm reminds me of the Nivea kiss balms, so that's a plus since I love those a lot.

MAC Archie's Girls - What BF Picked Out For Me!

This month MAC released a new collection, Archie's Girls, and being a life long Archie Comics lover, I was chatting about this collection non-stop! Well, one day Boyfriend was out running errands and while he was at Macy's returning a dress for me, I had asked him to pick me up a foundation pump from the MAC counter. He then came home admitting he forgot all about the pump because he got distracted by the Archie's Girls display. He mentioned the display was nearly empty, but he knew how much I love Archie and he selected a couple items for me - he also made a smart decision and passed on the polishes since they only had white tops and no Archie logo (I've trained him well on collector makeup, haha).

Betty Lipstick - Girl Next Door (Lustre)
Veronica Eyeshadow Palette - Spoiled Rich
  • Spoiled Rich (Frost)
  • Ron Ron Run (Satin)
  • Pin-Up Purple (Frost)
  • Gravel (Matte)

BLOGGER FEATURE: Hairspray and High Heels

Hairspray and High Heels

Hi Ladies!! I'm so happy to be hanging out here today and introducing myself. When Krystal announced her new Advertising for Bloggers, I jumped at the opportunity to come on board. She is one of my favorite bloggers and I have a passion for supporting other beauty bloggers so I was thrilled at the chance to support her. A huge thank's to Krystal for giving me the opportunity to introduce myself and my blog to you all. I blog over at Hairspray and High Heels.

I started blogging last May and in the beginning it was just a way for me to review a few products and have an outlet and a hobby. I never could have imagined that it would grow to what it is now and I would find such a wonderful community within the beauty blogging world and find so many amazing women who I now consider friends. My blog has become an outlet for me and something that I just absolutely love doing.

I want to share with you all a bit of what you can expect from Hairspray and High Heels. I think one of my favorite series that I hold on the blog is on Wednesday. I have a super obsession with the movie Mean Girls and if you have seen it, I'm sure you all recognize "On Wednesday's We Wear Pink" so I have designated that to a different PINK manicure each Wednesday.

Another one of my favorite type of posts are anything DIY Beauty and I absolutely love sharing different recipes and tutorials for fun DIY Beauty Tips & Tricks.

I can also be found reviewing all types of beauty products, swatching the latest in nail polish trends and sharing awesome drugstore finds! I'd love for you all to come hang out with me and stay awhile. Be sure to let me know your around so I can say HI!!

I'll leave you all with a few ways to find me if you feel so inclined :)

Lots Of Love,
Angela

Follow My #NailGrowthJourney!

Yesterday I decided to cut off my nails and do a nail growth journey on my Instagram account. I get a lot of questions on what products to I use, how do I grow my nails so long, how do I keep them strong... as well as people mentioning that they can't grow their nails long because they break them during household chores, or manual labor work, or even just losing them to accidents. Well, I too do a lot of hand work and am pretty clumsy, often ramming my hand (nails first) into doors, windows, walls, cupboards, etc. I've always been very hard on my hands and nails but in the last couple years I have wanted to really put an effort into caring for my nails and keeping them pretty. So, since I have a good nail care habit, I thought I could possible help or inspire you all to get healthier, stronger, longer nails.

I will post all my photos on my Instagram account, @BeautyByKrystal, and hashtag them with #NailGrowthJourney and #NailCareProducts, so please feel free to check them out - no follow required.

"I decided to cut off my nails, so I did a morning #manicure. I want to do a #nailgrowthjourney to show what products I use and how I maintain healthy #nails. So many people say they can't grow their nails longer, so I thought it might be helpful to document my personal #nailcare routines. First off, I use a glass file to shape and smooth edges. I prefer the #elf cuticle pen for daily moisturizing and the #barielle strengthening cream every morning and night. Right now I'm working on using up this #nailtiques formula 2 nail protein polish. It's alright, I might never repurchase though. #nailcareproducts"

Barielle Matte-Inee (matte finish)

Raise your hand if you're loving the matte nail trend? Nothing is more chic than a matte manicure with some high shine detailing, I only wish I had the skills to accomplish a filigree design, that would be gorgeous! Barielle recently sent me their Matte-Inee Matte Finish polish, which I didn't even realize they had in their line, and after playing around with their new Spring collection, Sweet Treats, I was anxious to mattify those beautiful shades with Matte-Inee. The matte finish is a tiny bit pink tinted, but it doesn't change the vibrancy of your polish color. It's consistency is similar to a base coat, just a pinch thicker than their Ultra Speed Dry top coat. Overall, I'm impressed and obsessed!

Barielle Sweet Treats (Spring 2013)

I am so excited to be sharing with you all the NEW Barielle Spring 2013 collection, Sweet Treats (available March 1st!). I hadn't even heard about this until it arrived in my mail, so you can imagine my giddy excitement when I saw the cover of the polish pack and the beautiful Spring appropriate shades inside. Barielle is a brand that I have come to adore, they are always on trend and they run sales and deals on their website so often that you rarely pay full price for their creations.

Green Apple Chew | a delicious chartreuse creme, unfortunately my brush was bent and very hard to work with so the finish is not perfect BUT the shade is fun and I think it will be perfect for some floral nail art this spring!

Banana Drop | a pastel yellowed-cream creme, it's more like the color of a peeled banana rather than the bright yellow skin. It's a little on the sheer/streaky side, but 3 decent coats will get you full coverage. This is such a cute shade, especially for a full manicure, it's crisp and clean without looking "yellowed".

Lilac Jelly Bean | a pastel lavender creme, it has a slight grey tone to it, but not in a dingy way - more like a pastel purpley taupe. I l.o.v.e. this shade, it looks so pretty on my skin tone, which has a yellow/olive undertone, just looks fresh and pretty for Spring.

Blue Cotton Candy | a muted teal with fine silver shimmer, when applying it I totally thought of hippy jeans... and then I thought it looked very similar to the Maybelline Color Show denim polishes. Turns out this one dries to a semi-matte finish as well, how exciting!

Orange Parfait | a melon coral creme, this one doesn't really read orange to me, it's feels more like a mature coral. I love that it is chipper without being a full on bright coral. It's a beautiful shade for a sunny day.
